Mile: 110,820 When I first bought this beat up, old pickup truck my goal was simple … get the family in the truck, unplug from reality and drive. As time has gone on it has turned into something much, much more. Yesterday was the Odd…

Our 1,500 lights were added to Ole Red for a total of 7,500 lights this year.
It was now time to add our tree. We were able to locate and find some old style ceramic bulbs like we used to have as children.
It was then off to Scott’s Nursery and Landscaping in New Milford and we found the perfect tree. They have all kinds of roping, trees, cemetery boxes and more stuff than you can imagine. I took some pictures so you can see and support local!
Our master fabricator who puts the Chris in Christmas, Uncle Chris helped ensure that the tree will stay in place even traveling down the highway. After a quick test run it was time to go on the Town and that we did!
I promise you will see us OR hear us from a 1/2 mile away. Be sure to come up to the truck when we are going through the shopping centers for some candy canes or if we are at a light, pull up to the truck, put your window down and get ready for a barrage of candy canes to be thrown in your car!
STAY TUNED as our gift card giveaways will be starting soon.

We try to make sure Jackson grows up knowing how lucky he is and that he should always try to help others. To that end, we picked up his buddy Alejandra and went shopping for the Thanksgiving Food Drive put on by the New Milford Woman’s Club. These selfless ladies fundraise and do a food drive to provide for several hundred families in our Town and it is amazing to see!
We had to hit up 3 different stores but they were troopers and were happy to help load our carts and realized how great it was to help others and what a good feeling it was.
We even got to see Jackson’s buddy Christopher and got out a little energy playing outside.
Of course, we had to hit up that leaf pile!
Jackson worked up quite the appetite so it was time to fill his belly with some Mac and cheese.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Almost as fun as Christmas is finding our pumpkins! We are so lucky in New Milford to have a ton of places to choose from!
First, we went to Harris Hill Farm. They have a huge pumpkin patch with all kinds of pumpkins of all kinds of shapes and sizes to choose from. We also got to go on our annual hayride. The animals were out and about with some pigs, ducks, cow and even a turkey. I would say of all of them the turkey may be the first to go.
Then we went down to Centerbrook Farm which has been in the Hipp family for generations. In our opinion, they are the king of the gourds! They had all kinds to choose form and Heather love to chose several to make some displays at the house. We got some potatoes and honey and off to quench Jackson’s thirst.
Park Lane Cider Mill has been in existence since way before I used to drink of the jug of cider as a kid. They have this really old really cool cider mill and it is awesome to step inside and go back in time. They also have really tasty apples which we bought. As you can see the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree as Jackson had to drink right out of the jug to have some of that sweet delicious cider … even I did too!
