Goshen Fair

Goshen Fair

Mile: 110,003

Off to our second fair of the year, the Goshen Fair! This is personally one of my favorites because … well…. Apple fritterrrrssss and Nodine’s beef jerky!!!!!! Nodine’s Smokehouse has been making beef jerky since well before I was a kid myself and Action Jackson has taken a liking to it just like his old man!

Luckily, we were able to beat the badly needed rain that came after we left.

This fair is awesome because they still have lumberjacks. It was fun to watch those high horsepower saws start up and cut through those logs like a hot knife through butter.

We of course had to take a seat and enjoy the tractor pull and our good neighbor John Hall was in it so that was fun to see. We even came back for Round 2 and entered a raffle to win our very own antique tractor. Not sure where we will put it if we win but I am sure we will figure it out!

Heather was able to get her apple crisp and chowder bowl. There was a slight emergency as Chowderheads was not in their usual location. After some anti-anxiety medication, Heather quickly realized they were still there just in a different spot. Crisis averted!

Got to see all the lego displays done by kids, fruits and veggie competition, rides, games, animals of all kinds but we missed the barrel horse racing … I told Action there is always next year!

We also got to see a magician which mesmerized Jackson and took the “Action” out of him as he did not want to leave. We also got to see a dog comedy show which as odd as it sounds had Jackson belly laughing.

After having lemonade (3 times at least), slushy, apple crisp, chowder, lobster rolls, curly fries, fried Oreos, ice cream, chicken tenders and jerky it was time to roll ourselves home!

Give us a like, follow and a share to keep up to date on our adventures. Hope your adventures were just as fun today!
