Saturday was one of those days as a Father I’ll look back on in 20 years and still be grinning from ear to ear. It will be one of those memories that will be as vivid as the day it happened.

Jackson has been excited for weeks to “cut down a tree in the forest.” So off to Angevine Farm in Warren it was. A family tree and pumpkin farm they have all kinds of trees and types to choose from. A brisk winter chill was in the air and with snow on the way it was time to get lookin.

Hiking up a large hill we found a stand of Balsalm trees. As you can see Jackson loved exploring between them. After searching for the perfect tree it was time to cut that sucker down! Jackson loved watching me drag the tree up the hill on a tarp almost as much as he loved giggling and running down the hill with mom!

After warming up Mom and Jackson in Ole Red it was time to load up the tree and fill our bellies with some warm food. We stopped at the 202 Tavern and got some yummy food.

We then got back in to Town to watch the trees be turned on at The Green and Santa was on the Bandstand. Once Jackson locked eyes he didn’t let go of the vision of Santa Claus coming to HIS Town! Then Mom and Jackson has to warm their butts up in front of the fire before we got the tree up! Also snuck in a little hot chocolate and LOTS of marshmallows.

Stay Merry my friends. The adventures have just begun …

Special thanks to Michael Boucher if some great shots downtown!
