Trains, Tractors and Lots of Lights

Mile: 115,045 It was an action packed couple days! Action Jackson is out of school so he got to spend some time with Papa and Uncle Kyle overseeing our job site. He was pretty tuckered out but still insistent that we spread some Christmas Cheer…

Oh Christmas Tree

Oh Christmas Tree

Mile: 114,945

Action Jackson loves our annual tradition of cutting down a Christmas tree and this year was no different. First, we had to help string the lights on the trees at our house. Team work makes the dream work!

Then it was off to Angevine Farm up in Warren. It was a little foggy out but that did not deter us from our mission of picking the perfect tree.

Jackson quickly went to the Frazier fir area and we walked between the rows and rows of trees before Heather came upon the perfect tree… that someone else was scouting. Luckily, they moved on to another one and there it was …. A beaut! Or as Jackson says “boootfiul”.

This year Jackson was the primary sawyer and did a bang up job. Before you know it not only will he be cutting down the tree but dragging it as well without my help. We are so lucky to be able to cherish these days before he gets older and try to never take a day for granted.

Of course we had to fuel up with some hot chocolate and molasses’s cookies.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween

Mile: 114,907

Action Jackson got to hang in his buddy Enzo’s neighborhood for Halloween to go trick or treating. Needless to say, there was a lot of candy trading going on. I may or may not have snuck a few in my belly while Jackson was sleeping. 😉

World’s Largest Spud & LFGM

Let’s Go Mets!

Let’s Go Mets!

This was a special day. We got three generations together to see the opening day of the Mets! We were able to sit right behind the dugout and capture all the players. The crowd went electric when Diaz hobbled out on crutches.

My father hadn’t been to a game since I was Action Jackson’s age. Needless to say the ballparks are a little different these days.

It got a little chilly out there so I snagged yet another Mets blanket for Jackson. He loved his warm pretzel on this cold day. That’s for sure.

We even got a win!

Days like these make me realize how lucky I am. Life. Is. Good.
