We try to make sure Jackson grows up knowing how lucky he is and that he should always try to help others. To that end, we picked up his buddy Alejandra and went shopping for the Thanksgiving Food Drive put on by the New Milford Woman’s Club. These selfless ladies fundraise and do a food drive to provide for several hundred families in our Town and it is amazing to see!
We had to hit up 3 different stores but they were troopers and were happy to help load our carts and realized how great it was to help others and what a good feeling it was.
We even got to see Jackson’s buddy Christopher and got out a little energy playing outside.
Of course, we had to hit up that leaf pile!
Jackson worked up quite the appetite so it was time to fill his belly with some Mac and cheese.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Fall was in the area, leaves were at their peak, and it was time to head off on a whim to one of our favorite places, Popey’s Ice Cream Shop. We picked up Jackson and his buddy Alejandra from school.
It was great listening to them talk about their day as we headed over.
Once we got there we bought a whole tray full of food to fill our tummies up! Instead of getting ice cream there we made a trip to Carvel … the same place I used to go to when I was Jackson’s age.
Hope you had a great day!

Well, this was a first for Jackson… some apple picking. We went to Averill Farm in Washington, Connecticut. It is the same apple orchard my parents took me to when I was a kid.
They had all kinds of different apples as you can see and even some pears. We even got some fresh apple cider.
After all of that we went to another favorite of ours West Shore Seafood to get some tasty seafood!
Hope your adventures were as fun as ours!
